Pete DeMay is a McKinley Park parent, union organizer and community activist. He is also a founder of the 12th Ward IPO, and a member of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA). Pete DeMay is committed to:

Fully Funded Schools, Parks and City Services – It’s time to end the disastrous TIF corporate welfare program and bring tax dollars back to our communities.

Give 12th Ward Residents a Voice on Development Issues – Our current Alderman sells off our neighborhoods to the highest bidder. Now it’s time for us to have a real say in what our community looks like. Let’s unite to put people’s needs before developer profits and campaign cash.

Green Jobs– Unemployment and poverty rates are too high in our neighborhoods, and we have lead in our drinking water. We need a jobs program that puts 12th Ward residents to work removing lead service lines, and we need to attract green manufacturing. No Billion dollars for Lincoln Yards! Let’s invest in our health, improving infrastructure and getting our neighbors working instead.
